Default Working on some carpet

Since Ford was nice enough to keep the carpet I decided I'd add some since it was only $17 and it was high wear carpet that looks very similar to stock. It's thin backed so it bends easily.

I had only worked the pass side in when I took this pic, so still working. You have to bolt the seats in to keep it in place while you work or it'll slide and you'll end up with it in the wrong spot as you are trimming it.

Anywho, here's where I've gotten to in an hour or so.

It looks really good man, your doing a nice job. Now all you need are custom fit floor mats to keep it clean. I got some from autoanything front and back (crew cab) and they fit great.

I had done this in my old Falcon but it never came out looking this good.

Sweet, makes me want to do mine... Are you gluing the carpet down or what? And how did you get the cushion off of your middle seat like that? My interior is exactly the same as yours, except I have a floor shifter for 4x4. I would like a carpet upgrade.

To get the middle seat bottom up, just grab hold underneath in the center and pull upward firmly. May take a few tugs but the clips will release.

Did you take out the rubber floor or applied carpet directly over it?

I think gluing it down will be the best approach once it is complete, but not like painting the glue on or anything. It only seems nessesary to put it at anchor points. The floormats cover most of the area and I want to be able to throw $18 at it again next year to keep it fresh.

I tried gluing it down at "anchor points" but still had some wrinkle issues.

I used a carpet knife and trimmed it some, then glued the seems. It did OK for a beater.
