Default Windshield tint?

I've been thinking about tinting my windshield. Nothing too dark. 50% at the darkest. Want it mainly to block the heat from getting inside. Just wondering if anyone has done this and if it effects visibility noticeably. Do not want to endanger myself. Lol pics would be helpful

Haha Thanks a lot man, I love it. Can't tell it's tinted looking out at night. Only time it's a little different is right before it starts getting dark

Not to be a spoil sport BUT any tint on the windshield more than 4 in below the top that is not built into the glass by the manufacture is against both federal and state law. IF you have a tint and get involeved in a accident regardless of the cause if the other guys lawer finds out it will be used against you in court. and just as a side note it has been stated that the only time its noticed is at dusk or dark the 2 worst times for I didnt see it.type of accidents it would foolish to install something on your truck that reduces your visabillity even more. As for sun protection dont think for 1 min that a 35% or 50 % tint is going to make a bit of differance. Down here in the desert south west we get a dash cover and a shade screen. Just my $.02 worth

Yeah we heard all the "dont do this" comments on previous threads, and we are all well aware...with that said, I can't wait to get mine done. I want it for cosmetic reasons not blocking sun I have a good sun shade.
