Default Windsheild washer

Hey, I have a 2004 F-150 just wanted to know if anyone has had trouble with there windsheild washer, mine was working fine, then just started to barely spray the window from both lines. Is the pump getting weak or is it plugged somewhere?

Open the hood and unplug the water line that connects to the two spray nozzles (follow the rubber tube from the water tank to the plastic windshield cowls), then have a buddy operate the windshield spray. If you get a good amount of water, then the spray nozzles are plugged. Use a small piece of wire to clean out the nozzle holes.

If the water pressure is weak, then it's the pump or the pump pickup within the water tank.

Some vehicles have the nozzles on the hood, and car wax plugs them when folks wax the hood. This would not be the case for our trucks, but other junk can clog them up seeing as how they are on the black plastic cowls.

Bucko, thanks for the info, It must be the pump cause they both stopped spraying at the same time! It only sprays a 1/4 of the way up the window now. Are pumps hard to change out?

might also be the little Y connector, they will dry out and crack then leak, i had no wiper fluid for a long time and finally decided to look into it and that all it was, i didnt want to go find another and just used some silicon and selaed really well and also sealed around the tubes. been going good for a few months now.
