My windows (exterior) have a milky film that has scratches. Is this something that can be buffed out?

Some ideas:
  • Vinegar
  • 0000 steel wool
  • Tub and tile cleaner
  • Cerium Oxide glass polish

+1 for soapy water and the 0000 steel wool or my preference the white Scotch Brite pads.
I bet even magic eraser would do the trick.

Not so much with my truck, but yes with the basement windows on the house that get hard water from the sprinklers on them all summer, yes big time.
