i want to tint my two front windows and the front "eyebrow". the "eyebrow" is def going to be in 5% but i think 15% for the sides is too light. if i do 10% how far off would the back windows be to match, my back windows are factory tinted btw.

 

Are you going to tint your own windows or are you going to have it done. A question I am going to throw into this pot. If the tinting has been damaged how is it repaired?

 

i tinted my dads ranger last year, the back bed window, and the two back windows, them came out great but im going to professionally have these done with 3m tint. i want a professional look thats all.

 

do you have factory tint or did u add it yourself? if you installed it yourself the only way i know is take it off with a razor blade and start all over.

 

Get 15%, it matches perfectly. Some people will say 20% matches but it doesn't with all the sunlight coming threw the windsheild. I have 15% and have no complaints.


I also have an eyebrow going down to the AS1 line, which is roughly six inches. If I were to do it again I would go down 9 inches, atleast.

i went to a nascar race up in pa and there was this f150 stuck in traffic so i went up to him because he had half of the windshield in 5% and the sides and everything so i started talking to him and of course he ended up being a cop so he gets away with everything ahah

 

Literally half his windsheild was tinted 5%???

The first tint I got done was 15% on the front two windows then the second was 5% on the rear window against the bed and an eyebrow down to the AS1 line. I might go back and get another layer of tint on the eyebrow and take it down a few inches further.

 

yes, literally half the windshield. i dont think i could ever drive that because one its dark and two it was a straight line right across and that would annoy me so much.


thats alot. im just going with the 15% on the two front sides and the brow up to the as1 in 5% and if its too light i'll worry about the back. hopefully my pops says okay hahahha

 

Yea my dad is a biotch about tint. He likes the 15% but when I wanted to get 5% over the 15% he got pissed.

 

mine hates tint. i live in jersey and its completely illegal. all the pickup trucks have them and i never see them get pulled over but all the people with there sport cars or civics and golfs get pulled over bc there fast n exhaust. i dont think i'll have a problem except that my truck is red
