Window Tint
Save yourself!
Go to a local tinting shop, and find out what is the darkest allowable by your state's law.
You'd feel really dumb if you paid to have them tinted, had to pay a fine, paid to have the tint removed, and paid to have them tinted again!

lol, how do you figure? not only do they do a home visit, but they check your vehicle out on the DL when you go to your QAP interview
. My buddy didn't even make it inside to the interview because he had tint on his front windows (they told him "funny you want to be a CHP officer, when you can't even abide by the laws now... you can go home and figure it out first..." lol

Darkest legal tint here in CO is 35%.
Still need to get the fronts tinted. Was quoted $100 this weekend to retint the entire truck (minus windshield) at 20% to ensure they match all the way around.
Plan on doing this in the next month.
What is the legal limit of tint in the state of Colorado?
Answer: Colorado state law requires 27% light transmission through the windows in your vehicle. Manufactured glass looks optically clear but actually blocks between 5%-8% of light transmission. Therefore legally the darkest shade of window film you can apply to the windows in your automobile is 35%.
