Default Window Stopped Working

Hey yall, i just recently ran into an issue with my 06 F150 King Ranch. the window stopped working from all 4 switches but the rear sliding window still works fine. went in earlier today and bought a new accessory relay and whatever the 30A window fuse is. neither worked. also just bought a new master switch for the driver side and it comes tomorrow. i’m worried the new switch won’t be the issue either. also, it works when it wants to. i just got it to work a few minutes ago and it was just fine but for the last couple days it doesn’t want to operate correctly. has this happened to anyone else?

Edit: forgot to mention that the heated mirror light comes on while pressing the switch. when i stop pressing it, the heated mirror light turns off. another issue is the light in the switch and the door lock button all turn off when i press the window switch. but again, once i let go it decides to come back on. not sure if that’s supposed to happen. the mirrors also didn’t want to fold in until i put the 2 new fuses in and now they fold correctly but the windows still don’t work

Broken wire in the door hinge area. Pull the bellows back and look for broken ones. Sometimes the copper breaks inside but the insulation still in tact. I'll bet you find a broken wire.

That's the area to check. Yes.

TEST VOLTAGE TO THE DRIVER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH
  • Disconnect wire connector at switch
  • Turn key to ON position
  • Measure the voltage between the LB/BK wire in connector and ground
  • Should get battery voltage
  • With voltmeter still connected, wiggle black, accordion, rubber boot between door and body to check for voltage changing while wiggling

TEST GROUND TO THE DRIVER WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH
  • Disconnect wire connector at switch
  • Measure the resistance between the BK wire in connector and ground
  • Should get continuity
  • With voltmeter still connected, wiggle black, accordion, rubber boot between door and body to check for resistance changing while wiggling
