Default Comfortable struts/shocks?

Love my old 2005 crew cab. Had her for 18 years and some light mods edge, headers, exhaust, cai even gears. But the old girl and I both are getting old. Put 100k on her the first 4 years but since Ive retired I rarely even put more than 100 miles a month on her now and just over 110k on her now. Like me her bones are getting old and creaky, she groans, moans and that squeaky **** front end is getting on my nerves kinda like my old girl "in" the house . Rode with my son in his 2018 crew cab (117k) and I thought holy crap my ole girl didnt ride this good when I drove her off the lot brand new. Im shopping struts and not really finding anything that tell me about ride characteristics. Ive done alot of searching on the forum here and every post Ive read is after-market "sport shocks" lifted shocks etc

Anyone out there have any experience or recommendation for a nice comfortable strut shock combination that wont break the bank?

I recently went with basic Monroe roadmatics. Did rest of front suspension at same time too. Truck rides VERY nice. I didn’t think the ride was bad before, but the difference was very noticeable.
