Default Window problem

Last night around 2am i was getting home and in the process of putting my window up i herd like what sounded like a snap and then the window just fell and never went back up.

Does anyone have an idea what that may have been? Now i have a garbage bag for a window.

I have 3 windows like this right now... I can tell you that a 2x4 cut to the right length and jammed in there right will hold the window up...

It is the regulator and it is a known problem with these... Pull the door panel and you can temp fix it...

The regulator/motor comes as an assembly. Check out rockauto.com and tascaparts.com for discounted replacements.

It's not too bad.

Removal and Installation
Remove the front door trim panel.
Remove the front door watershield.
Secure the front door window glass in the full UPWARD position with tape.
Remove the front door window glass-to-regulator assembly bolts.
Loosen the glass clamp fasteners through the 2 vertical slots in the inner door panel.
To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in) .
Disconnect the front door window electrical connector.
Remove the front door window regulator bolts.
To install, tighten to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft) .
Remove the front door window regulator and motor.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
