I watched the video, that's almost certainly a dripping injector. They'll usually be most obvious after sitting (warm) anywhere between 10 and 45 minutes. If wagers were being taken, I'd put money on it.

Perry, thanks, is there a way to test and isolate the bad injector?

I can't think of any way to isolate the leaking injector. Every once in a while mine will do the same thing. I think its fuel deposits preventing the injector from closing off completely. If I run a couple successive doses of Techron through it every few months it doesn't happen.

Used torque app to check fuel rail pressure and it was at 39psi steady at idle. I will check back with it in a hour to see where its at and take it for a spin. 39psi is I believe well within tolerance.

I actually picked up a cheap Bosch scanner from autozone (like 125 bucks) and it told me fuel pressure under live parameters, it will also tell you air flow from the mass airflow meter, battery voltage, etc. pretty useful tool to have in your circumstances.

Well I definitely have a leak in the fuel system, most likely injector I'd guess. Hooked up obd reader fired it up 39psi, shut it down cycled fuel pump a few times and then left it on to see what happened to pressure. Took about 15 minutes and I was already down to 18psi. Now i just have to hope I can still qualify for injector warranty.

I haven't done an injector leaked down test so I can't say anything from your result. But, are you very sure that your result is not normal?

Thanks for the heads up that Torque Apps can read fuel pressure

I'm gonna hook it up on our other vehicle and my buddies 06 f150 to see what it does, maybe it is normal. Yeah Torque app is pretty cool first time I ever used it.

Our caravan doesnt show fuel pressure for some reason so I have to wait till later to try my buddies f150. Pressure still dropped to 15psi in half hour after driving. Anyone know if the fuel pressure sensor could cause this?

Hey Wif-150, how did you read the fuel pressure using Torque Apps? I tried but couldn't graph it. I'd have given you mine for data comparison had I succeeded.

I don't have a clue if the fuel sensor has anything to do with it, but do you have any codes?
