has anyone else noticed a whinning noise at about 1800rpms? my truck has had this noise almost since it was new. i was wondering if it could be the transmission or maybe something else. any help would be appreciated.

 

I have this sporadic whining sound that comes from about 2 feet to the right of my driver seat... It only happens now and then...

I have an 04 F150, I had the same sound and turned out to be the Ring and Pinion.

 

i have a whine pretty much all through the powerband!



lol but ya sounds like gear whine from the angle of the gears not being set properly when they were installed

 

Man stop teasing me...Im sitting at a speed shop now looking at a roush 427 mustang thats sitting on the dyno. Damn im half tempted to put one on my FX4. Ill post pics soon.

 

Aight Nitemare this ones for you. Roush 429 stage 3 mustang sitting 10 feet from me right now. Yes im drooling on it.
