Default Where did you mount your dc controller

I mounted another fan controller on the battery box. It was a good mounting spot for that install. Has anyone mounted the dc controller to metal under hood? I have looked at the spots on the battery side of the engine compartment and it is pretty packed with plastic. The clearest area under hood is above the left wheel well. I was given a suggestion to make a metal bracket and firmly bolt it down. I keep looking for the write up Bucko had on his install with no luck. Anyone?

On the washer fluid reservoir, next to the cap.

How long has it been on there? Did you mount it with tape?

I just used two screws to hold it to the reservoir. Makes sure you use stainless, or they'll rust. It's been there for a few years without issue. I did make a plastic cover for it out of a black plastic tray I had lying around. I didn't want water coming in under the hood and damaging anything.

Right back in the box the POS came out of. Still sitting on the shelf. Hope you have better luck. If my painless controller ever dies I'm gonna try the controller from AFCO Racing. They make some nice stuff.

Btw I mounted the dc controller to the plastic battery cover where the painless controller is now.

Thanks Blown! I tried the Painless and it fried. I tried to get a replacement and the tech from Painless said my problem was a known flaw and they are redesigning. There were none in stock or in production.
Glad you are having success with yours.
I bought my Painless because I read that great right up.
More available functions right off the bat with the painless, but I think the dc can have switches and diodes added for most of the same (vcc excepted).
I had good success contacting Brian and had all my emails and controller within a week.

Well good. Maybe Brian has turned his mess around. I will not do biz with him again though. Yeah look into AFCO. Pretty big outfit. They own Dynatech and some other companies. Lots of performance parts, springs, shocks, etc.
