I recently put bushwackers on my fx4 but my my aftermarket wheels look too small under my truck. I was wondering what wheel and tire combination i should go with? how big of wheels can i fit under my truck without rubbing? (no lift) and i wanted to stay with black wheels and aggressive tires...

any help would be great thank you!

 

I would tell you the first thing you need to do is just get the Hell Bent Steel 2.5" Leveling kit. It's like $70 and would take about 2 hours or less to install. I say this, because once this is done you can put on a good set of wheels and aggressive tires like you are looking for. 35" Tires can be achieved with some minor rubbing. I have 305/65/18 Falken WildPeak A/T tires (almost 34") on stock wheels. I just ordered a set of Method Racing MR301 black 18x9 +18 wheels. Should be in soon, I cant wait. If you went with 17's I know the 305/70/17 BFG's look real good. Just my .02 cents.

 

+1 on the leveling kit, and all you really need to worry about is the offset

I would stick to 285/65/18 or 295/65/18. What offset are your wheels? That will change what will fit. If stock fx4 wheels as in your pic the 285/65/18 won't rub and the 295 may have very slight rub.

 

backspace is 5.50 and the offset is +12mm

 

285/65/18 with no level.

 

Thanks for the input guys between all of you guys and my friends I have decided to put on the 2.5" leveling kit from HBS...

and then 33" or 35" tires depending on what I can fit under there after the leveling kit still torn between either fierce attitude's or open county's

 

Go with 33 or 34 with level kit 35 inch you will have to trim to much

 

Think about this too.. the larger the tire the suckier the gas milage and wear and tear on your rea diff unless you wanna regear.
