Default Whats the problem?

So today I was goin down the road and out of nowhere I felt the motor shudder like it was missing. It's only happening at low rpm (1000-1500) at speeds 40+. No check engine light so no codes. What could it be? Miss? Fuel filter? Etc?

In my opinion...sounds like a spark plug issue and they are expensive to replace due to breakage.

What plugs did you put in? Champions and Autolites have been known to fail quickly sometimes. But I have 60K on my Champions and no misfires but just starting to get a random stumble at idle sometimes so I'm gonna replace them with Motorcrafts. With that said, even the Motorcrafts can fail early.

Or it could be a COP. They are actually pretty fragile. So sometimes you get a misfire after doing your plugs and moving them around. I would wait until you get a CEL and see which cylinder is misfiring because I bet its that.

If not, check the usual items. Change the fuel filter, air filter, MAF sensor, throttle body. Then maybe FPDM

That's funny about you not knowing about the tool. My buddy changed the plugs in his 06 and didn't have a clue. Said it was a piece of cake. This was right around the time I told him all 8 of mine broke.
