Good info.I wonder if that could be causing my oil pressure gauge to read zero
I put a manual pressure tester on and have plenty of oil pressure, so now I'm wondering if it's either the sender or this suppressor.

The capacitor is a cheap thing to replace as a test.

I replaced the oil pressure sensor and that fixed the gauge issue.
Will put the suppressor on today but it doesn't seem to be causing any problems at this point.
