Default What plastic do 35s rub?

I know that a lot of people say that 35s on a 2.5 inch level sometimes rub the plastic. What plastic are they talking about? Can someone post a picture of the plastic that it will rub? Sorry about all these questions I do not know a lot about stuff like this. Thanks for any help

no apologies man. this is where you come with these kind of questions. I have this exact setup on mine and yeah there's some rubbing.
the plastic valance under the front bumper will get rubbed a little on the end on each side, this can be easily trimmed back with an oscilating trimmer, small hand saw etc... the next place it will rub is on the other end of the wheel well, this CANNOT be trimmed.
Now, the first time i took mine offroad I had a big issue with rubbing. I bottomed out my front end going through a mud puddle that turned into the be a mud pit and ripped off my front fender trim... I don't know if this has happened to others BUT i know it happened to me.

now I strongly suggest going with 35s because it makes our trucks look great, just like a hot blonde with big ole' DDs in a bikini....

I'm running 315/70/17 on a 3 inch leveling kit and I had to trim about an inch. This is where they will rub. And they only rub when you turn the wheel all the way

Thanks everyone. I was under the impression that the tires would rub when turned toward the truck if that makes sense. Like if you turned left, the left part of the right tire would rub

Hey big dawg, about to get 35s with. 2.5 level. Is offroading really rough with rubbing? I hunt a lot so i dont want to get stuck with a useless 4x4 truck lol.

I rub my valence with my 35s on a 6 inch kit. But I also have 18x9 with a -12 offset and 13 inch wide tires.
