My XLT has the cupholder console with the suitcase feature....

I guess the extra 2500 was worth the console and power windows....

Default Somtimes I wish...

my gear shift was on the column instead of the center. That way I could have had four cupholders, instead of just two. Then I could have had coffee and water for me and my wife.

Hey, any body ever crush a foam cup with an elbow from one of the cup holders at the rear of the console? I almost did.

If you almost crushed a foam cup in the rear console cupholder, you musta been way laid back......or in the backseat one....!!!!

Kudos....either way....

Nope, can't take credit for that. I mean the ones at the rear of the center console. They are for the backseat passengers. They are located just between the seats.

I purchased 05 F150 XL Reg cab 4X4 with 21 k miles two months ago. Why would Ford put a center console without any cup holders or an opening to put your stuff in? I love everything about this truck. It is very comfortable and drives fantastic. I see that the XL does not have this option, but why? Does anyone know.
Does your console fold back into a seat for a center passenger?

Yes, mine does fold up for a passenger, but the seat doesn't move forward or back so someone with any legs wouldn't be very comfortable. Like I said I love the truck just don't know why Ford did this to the XL which is usually considered a work truck. I just bought the truck used and I don't need all the extras, just storage and accessible cup holders would be nice.

I have an STX and it has cup holders all over the place. There's two on the floor, two in the center console and the door pockets have a wow in them for a really big tanker like the ones you get from 7-Eleven. There's two more in the back along with an extra 12V plug. Not surprsingly, I went out with a cup of coffee and didn't have anyplace to put the cup. All the cup holders were full of junk. (sigh)

Just a marketing ploy,I have cupholders on my armrest, but I could not get vinyl seats on my xlt and they are standard on the xl??? Anyway just got my 08-4.6 and love it. I had an 05 and 07 5.4 and like the 4.6 better--better milage and idles smoother.
