hey, does anyone know the difference between the fx4 and and regular stx or xlt, besides having bigger rims and tires, is there any difference in the shocks or suspension?

 

Yup. Fx4 gets special shocks, springs, skid plates, nice looking gauge Cluster, and a limited slip axle.

 

And center console shifter

 

9.75" rear axle with limited slip diff, leather captain seats with center console shifter, different fenders, Skid plates, they come leveled on rancho and color match bumpers.

 

The xlt's have the 9.75" rear axle as well. You could get an 8.8" on the stx trucks. My xlt was optioned with the same skid plates as an fx4. Most of the time, it depends on how the truck is optioned for exterior components. The interior always has the fx4 cluster and center shift. Same fenders just plastic fender flares added. They did not come leveled, but did have rancho branded shocks.

 

They did not all just come with a center shift. Many are column shift with a bench seat. Some are cloth and others are black or grey leather. Again, depends on how they were optioned.

 

The shift column part is my bad, but I've personally never seen a non center shift fx4 or lariat, out of the 100's I've seen.

 

By default it's centre console shift unless one opts for the 6 seater. Don't know if Sunroof was standard, mine came with it.

 

They come leveled ?? umm not !!

 

My FX4 is not leveled nor does it have leather or a sunroof.

I don't think any of them come leveled from the factory.
