Half a quart of gas going 16 miles? How did you determine a half quart? I use a SCANGUAGE II to measure my MPG rate, but it does not go down to the "quart" range.

Run a full tank and find out what the average mpg is. Also, city vs hwy makes a big difference. I get 11mpg in town and 15 highway.

Are you saying that the gas gauge went down one quarter (or 1/2 of a quarter in the first post) for the distance driven?

Some of us are old and still use plain English. Please lose the texting stuff so we can try to help you. I still don't understand how much fuel you are using and how exactly you are determining that amount.

If he drove 16 miles and went through a quarter of a tank, damn he is losing major gas. You'd be able to smell you burnin through that much I would think.
