Default What is this?

This is located under the bed, on the drivers side of my 05 Scab short bed. It is between the bumper and leaf spring mount. there is only one of them, its not on the other side either.

Yep. A large paper weight. I had to remove mine when I installed a tow hitch. It did not do anthing to the ride quality, so I'm not sure how much "dampning" it really does.

These are for vibration dampening. Ford loves these things...they've put them on trucks for a while now.

I'm using it now to hold down the base for my bench grinder; works good to keep the base from moving around the garage floor!
