Default Weird squeaking sound

I am beginning to notice a funny squeaking sound coming from the rear drivers side wheel area everytime i step into my truck, or when i'll stand on the step bars and bounce it up and down the squeaking noise will be constant when ever the is pressure applied to that side of the truck...any ideas on what it is? does it need to be fixed?

Is that something that will go away or will it need to be fixed in order for it to stop?

I'd say bushings also although it could be the leaf pack itself. There are teflon "pads" inbetween each leaf, maybe you lost one.

Yeah it's definitely the rear, i've had someone stand right next to the truck while i rock it and it sounds like its coming from the leafs...is that something expensive to fix...it does kind of sound like a rubbing squeaking sound when it bounces up and down

Have someone jump on the rig while you spray spots with silicone spray or WD-40. That way you can pinpoint the issue.

i just bought a 04 fx4 and when driving it there was this incredibly annoying squeek. i couldnt figure it out for a while. i would hear it when i slammed my tailgate shut and i finally found it. drivers side under the bed near the tailgate there is some rubber thing maybe 4 inches in diamater on a bolt. i have no idea what its for cause it doesnt look like it serves any function. i sprayed it with WD40 and it stopped squaking. does anyone know what this thing is?

I had a squeeking noise in my truck for several weeks, everytime i closed the door I heard this weird noise or rocked the truck real hard standing on the running boards. For days I tried to locate where it was coming from. Then one day I figured it out. It was the dam hanging flouresent lights swaying from the vibration of the truck when I closed the door. The chain rubbing on the hooks was causing the squeeking noise. Talk about feeling like an idiot searching for nothing all that time.

So my tip of the day is: Check all squeeks outside of the garage...hehehe
