Idk really how to explain it but I'll try. I bought my 05 f150.. Drives fine no clunks or popping but I was laying under it and saw that where the driver side lower control arm where it connects to frame has some custom fab work done to it:unhappy:... What do you did the previous owner had done to it? The passenger side looks normal

Too cheap to buy a caster camber kit when they had it aligned maybe? Im not sure, another thought is maybe it had a lift kit on it at one time and had to be massaged a little to accept that drop cradle.... hmmm

I agree...or couldnt get the bolt out when they had to replace the A-arm...I was damn close to having to cut one of the bolts when I installed my lift.

Yeah as long as you dont notice anything weird in the steering (alignments off or a shimmy) I would say you are good to go.

I did the same to mine and its not about bein cheap its about not takin the easy route of getting a camber kit which is only a smaller bolt letting you go further back than the stock hardware which i would never trust with holding my control arms on my truck no matter what drade the bolt is and if you do it correct it looks great whoever did that one looks like they got in a hurry

I would periodically check the torque on that bolt...seems like it would want to move around quite a bit.
