From what I have read they make a good product. And based upon what I have learned about how they are made they should perform very well. They are expensive and not needed until you start start heading north of 900-1000hp. The stock Motorcrafts will handle anything from stock to that point.

I haven't tried them yet. Haven't researched them either. I will look into them. I change plugs every 8,000-12,000 miles so I will see what they have and try them.

may be a dumb question...but a serious one: why do you change your plugs so often?

No not dumb at all. With the blower I use copper plugs. Copper plugs offer the best performance and fire power of any plug but also wear quickly. Some claim 20,000-30,000 miles but I don't go that long. Two reasons. If I feel a miss at idle I change them. Second I always install fresh plugs before drag racing or dyno tuning. And since I race at least once in the spring and fall they end up getting changed twice a year.

You can feel the drop in power as the plugs get close to 10k. Example: I can hit the gas at 30mph and lite up the rear tires. When those plugs start fading you don't always realize until you kick it at 30mph and it just barks the tires a little.

A ha...so would copper plugs benefit the average stock engine or should I stick with the sp515's?

Stick with the Sp-515 until your truck gets a big boy motor like Blowns'
