Default Warranty Inspection

I have a 2004 XLT with the 5.4 that has 130,000 miles on it that I bought two years ago at the end of March. When buying the truck I also purchased a warranty for the truck. I plan on taking it into the dealer to have everything checked out sometime next week before the warranty is up and just wanted to know if you guys think if there is anything in particular I should have them look at so I can get at least another 100,000 miles out of the truck.
Thanks in advance!

Is it giving any type of symptoms like something is wrong? Any noise, bogging down, misfire, slow to go into gear, anything? We could suggest looking at things like the FPDM, Phasers, timing guides, IWE, there's not much to go on here. Give us a clue because unless you have a great dealership, chances are, they are gonna just drive it around the block and say its good.

I just replaced the FPDM last weekend and it drives fine I just thought'd I'd ask to see if there what you guys would suggest given the mileage/age and when things tend to go bad. Rather get it done for free now that have to pay for it in the future! And I hope they do more than drive it around the block, they've been pretty good so far! Thanks

Glad you have a good dealership and that it sounds like your truck is running well. Mention the things that I posted and see if they will take a look at them for any wear. Good luck let us know what they say.

most warranties cover a part when it breaks... not before it breaks.. how is somebody supposed to guess what part is going to fail.. even if its a hi failure item.. yours may last forever.

I am already taking it in for "The Works Package" and thought I'd ask on here if there was anything in particular I should have them look at for wear other than the inspection they already perform so I can get it done under the warranty. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

Just picked up the truck the other day and everything was fine other than the front stabilizer links which I was able to get replaced under the warranty. Thanks for the input and help.

Trust me if you are bringing your truck into a Ford dealer for a works to get done. They WILL find anything wrong with your truck. Techs get paid by job, they look for EVERYTHING possible. Ive done it for the past 6 years. The works doesn't pay enough to pay for lifting the truck in the air let alone changing oil and rotating tires, they have to find something to make money. lol
