Default Warm/Hot

Hello everone I am new to this forum stuff so....I am just wondering if it is ok to change my thermostat to try to get my heater to get hot because right now it's just getting luke warm basically. Not having any other problems. Thanks for any info.

First make sure you’re topped off with antifreeze with the heat on full hot. You may also consider flushing the system too.

Also if not an HVAC related, only use a Motorcraft T-Stat. Some of these trucks dont like anything but their own brand!

If your thermostat is stuck open it will increase warm up times. If it is stuck open to the point the motor will not get warm, you'll get a cold stating vehicle isn't reaching normal operating temperature.

As noted above, there are other things to control air discharge.

It might even be your temperature door in the HVAC duct. If you have clicking behind your dash, that would be a door trying to move to allow warmer air but a broken door system disallowing it to switch to a fully warm position.
