Default wanna be sure

i am getting a 2004 supercrew 4x4. i am wanting to run 35x12.50x20 nitto mud grapplers or trail grapplers on xd rockstar 20x10 rims. i have read several threads and even found a guide when i searched on here but it is still unclear if i will be able to clear these with only a leveling kit or if i will need to level and body lift. the offset on the wheels i am looking at are -24 which i believe converts to approx. 4.56 inches of backspacing. any help will be much appreciated.

You won't fit 35's with those rims with just a level, i remember seeing somewhere were a guy had rocstars on 35's with just a level and he had a lot of rubbing. I would'nt waste my time with a level and a body lift it would be easier just to do a 4" or 6" suspension lift.

I am running 35" Trail Grapplers on a 2.5" level but they are on my stock FX4 20"wheels. From what I can gather my stock 20's are a +44 offset or 6.14"(ish) backspacing. That means they are tucked up real close under the wheel wells. Mine do rub the control arm and the frame sometimes when i turn but i just learned how far to turn and am fine with it. so for you to run a rim thats got an offset of -24 it would most likely rub the plastic in front of the wheel and behind on the fender flare when you turn.

that's kinda what i was thinking. i may just go with a 33 or put a body lift with the level to run the 35s since i am wanting an aggressive tire.

Thats a good idea. It will still look great with 33's especially if you get the Trail Grapplers. Good luck.

i just wonder though if i will have any rub with the 35 and rockstar combo with a level and body lift. i figure with the amount of offset and added clearance of the body lift it shouldn't rub at all.

Get something with about a +10 offset and you should be fine with the leveling kit and 35s

I have 35" trails with a +12 offset rim.. Also a 2.5 level..Change your rims and you will fit those 35's.. Mine doesnt rub control arm or even come close to it. I only rub at full lock

Even if you did a body lift you'd rub... The rubbing comes from the offset of your rims.. Get the right rims and it will solve the rubbing.. Most of it anyway..
