Variant timing solenoid problems
So the #3 plug back on the passenger side ? This is where you should concentrate your effort. What kind of plug did you put in? Was the hole dry? It's possible you have other cylinders misfiring that haven't popped a code yet. I would start by scanning mode 6 data for misfires and resolving cylinder 3 and any other cylinders that are misfiring. Once the engine is not missing it may have proper oil pressure and resolve the p0012 on its own if you're lucky.

Sorry I have not answered your comments sooner. I have been concentrating on getting my truck running right.
So, what i have done is replace the variant timing solenoid in bank one. Was easier than expected, but I still have a p0012 code coming up on my scanner. I tested the old solenoid and I even shocked it with 12 volts and it seemed to be working. The valve opened and closed as it should. I also cleaned them even thought they didn't seem too dirty. The odd thing is that the p0012 code went away for the entire day yesterday, but is back today. So I am unsure what is causing this code. As needsmoarturbo mentioned I have spent all of my time trying to solve why I have the p0303 misfire. Yesterday I was able to test for spark and had plenty of spark, so that tells me its not the coil or spark plug. What I did notice was that the spark plug is dry. So I checked the resistance on each injector. They all checked out, even the injector on #3 cylinder. I also started my truck and pulled the electrical connector one by one to each injector. All of the injectors were fine except for #3 cylinder. I got no reaction. There was no idle change when I pulled off the connector. So I was sure that was the problem, but when I cleared out the codes, to my dismay, there it was again. I am unsure what else will cause the engine to throw a misfire on the #3 cylinder. As you can see by the pics, my fuel trim is off.
To techrep, I drive a 2005 ford f150 xlt with the 5.4 v8. It has around 141,000 miles on it.
