Default Vacuum hose

2004 F150 FX4 5.4L V8 4X4

Noticed the broken lines shown in the picture below, would assume this is a vacuum hose of some sorts. Hard to tell where exactly they run to or where they connect to. Can anyone tell me what exactly this is or how it can be fixed? Would this be the reason I noticed low idle and sputtering when stopped.

My buddy had a split hose on his mid 90s ford and we wrapped the split with electric tape and unless he changed the part and didnt tell me, highly unlikely because he tells me if he puts air in the tires, its still wrapped 2 years later.

I looked tonight and didn't see anything? Before I went back and looked at your pic I was thinking it might be the cable that goes to the wheel speed sensor for abs. My truck is 2wd.
