Default Programmer/tuner help!

Ok so after a few hours research I have yet to come to a conclusion. Here's what I have 2005 f150 4x4 king ranch 5.4 with AEM dry filter cai and banks exhaust. All I want is a tuner that will work with the cai and not cause to run "lean". I have looked at both the edge cs and edge cst, but I have also checked out the gryphon. Now from my research I found that just buying an edge cs can cause it to run too lean, is this correct? All I'm trying to do is get better mpg. I rarely tow anything and am not looking to hit the track ever so not after crazy hp gains. Just something that will improve mpg a few. Any suggestions will be helpful! I have found many used ones that seem like great deals but before I pull the trigger on new or used just need some solid advice. Thanks guys! Also if there is a thread already for this I'm sorry I looked but couldn't find one that fit my situation.

The primary purpose of a tuner is more power and torque, mpg gains are gonna be secondary. What I mean by that is you will affect your gas MPG more by HOW you drive and size of tires/lift if any then just adding a tuner.

If you have any questions on SCT branded tuners, feel free to hit me up. Glad to help regardless of where you end up buying one.

Ok cool thanks for the input. So I guess the real question is now if my only goal is mpg is a programmer going to be more of 400$ pain in the butt than anything that I actually need? I mean is there a product out there that is worth the money mpg wise that will pay off if I'm not after the hp gains (any gains seen would just be a secondary plus since I'm after gas efficiency)

Typical gains are usually 1-2 mpg on a SCT unit. 1 city and 1-2 freeway IFFFFFFFFFFFF you don't drive with a heavy foot. If drive aggressively, will null and void any potential gains you might see. And $380on up is about right for a new tuner but can always consider a used one just make sure its unmarried or unlocked first. I have a couple used unlocked SCT sf3 3015 tuners for $275 shipped but that's the plug and play version, doesn't do any on screen guages

Ok so would any of these tuners cause the truck to run too "lean"?
