Will be buying a used Edge Evo.How do i make sure its set back to original stock form so i can use it in mine?Will be meeting the guy tomorow.

Any info,help would be great as i this would be my first tuner.Every thing is complete,tuner,cord,cd,mounting box and instruction manual.

Would also be great if you do s step by step directions of how to get it back to stock tune so i can use it on mine.Thanks all.

have the guy set his truck back to stock in front of you than you will know its unlocked.

 

Ok thanks man.i have no problem turning it down if he doesnt or i thnk its not.How can i tell for myself it is returned back to stock?Will it say something on the screen of the tuner?

 

that im not sure about. i would call up edge and ask them how to know that for sure. you can also download the users manual from there website, it will probably say it in there. im not home right now or id look in mine.

Have him bring it; plug it into your OBD II port. If it's been "reset", it will allow you to program your truck. If it does not reconize your VIN, it will be because the previous owner did not reset/reload the stock program back into his truck from this programmer, and it still "sees" the other VIN (his truck)..

If you do not pay him after this test, he will want to reset your truck back to stock as well!!!

Exactly what Bucko said. I don't have an Edge, but have a Cortex (Superchips). It notifies me when I plug it to my PC or into my truck that it is "VIN Locked".
