I believe I saw a thread on this somewhere. But I'm on my phone and its hard to search. Has anyone installed a USB port in the dash or anywhere in their truck?

 

I bought a sony head unit for $100 and it has a port for usb and aux cable. Came with everything i needed to install the unit including the dash kit so theres not a big open hole in my dash since this unit is half the size of a stock one. Check out crutchfield.com i highly recommend this site

 

I've got a Pioneer head unit that I had BestBuy install with a built in USB port on it. As far as a stand alone USB port, you got me!

 

Was looking to keep stock head unit and have external USB port..I'll keep digging.

Now just gotta decide on if I wanna install it in the console, or in the dash. Already have the PIE iPod connection with a male 3.5mm aux, but may use an adapter and drill a hole for a female AUX port and connect the two... decisions decisions.
