I did not see a trans fail code...did you ?... P0451 is evap P1000 is a re-learn code

In the OP he said that there was a trans fault displayed on the dash and the truck is stuck in 2nd gear. P1000 is a code that will stay up with the truck being tuned most of the time.

P0451 is emissions related and could possibly be related to a clogged cat but I think (could be wrong) its actually EGR related but I don't have code description in front of me.

I would say that the first thing I would look at would be the range selector or at least I think that's what ford calls it on these trucks, it is mounted to side of the transmission where the shifter cable goes and is what actually shifts the truck thru the drive gears. But with that said I would find a real scanner not the edge or another code reader

Sorry for the late update but it looks like I burned up the tranny. Also caused the truck to go into fail safe mode. Warranty company is paying 3450$ I'm paying the 200$ deductible. I'm pretty happy right now.
