Default Urgent question. Transmission issues

Ok so I was driving my truck home last night and I got this new warning pop up on the dash. Transmission malfunction and engine fail safe mode. WTF the truck will only start out in 2nd gear and has no power at all. Anybody have any ideas

Do you have anyway to check codes? Will the truck shift from 2nd or does it just stay there? Sounds like what my truck did when the transmission range selector went out but we need more information to properly diagnose it

I would put an edge level back in it . then once its complete go back to stock...the second code P1000 will go away after a hundred miles or so of normal driving.

You need a real scanner not a code reader the edge won't read trans fault data. Your first code is emissions related not trans, 2nd code don't worry about it.
