By the way, based on a question here American Muscle (a website that sells parts as exclusively for Mustangs), you can calculate how much horsepower an injector supports.

For example, we have a V-8, you calculate it this way: Injector size x 8 (for cylinders) x 0.8 (for efficiency) and then divide that by 0.5 (for brake specific fuel consumption). Thus the Ford Performance 24lb injectors support 307.2HP (24x8x0.8)/0.5 (2004-2008 5.4L's were 300HP). I'm sure you could get away with a 26lb injector without needing a tune (up to 332.8HP)

According to Injector Planet The Bosch 62402 are 24.8lb injectors, so they support up to 317.44HP

THIS ebay seller has excellent reviews and good back story being in the fuel injector industry.

At $200 US shipped, not a bad price for what I would term a stout factory fuel injector.

Pretty close at 2k I am hitting 77mph. Before 2k was around 70.

Hmm, so instead of around 15-16MPG on the highway at 70-75MPH, you'll get about 16.5 to 17.6MPG?

Default Actually on the hiway at 75

I'm am getting closer to 18. At lower speeds say 65 hiway speeds I am getting closer to 19.
I am on a long trip now and over the last 1800 miles I have averaged around 17.2 freeway and mountains plus city. Florence az to Yakima wa via Vegas, Reno,
Susanville,weed,klamath falls bend,to portland then up to yakima via the gorge. Lots of mountains so. I did the whole timing deal a few years ago with all ford stuff and the smelling pump. Changed all the cops and the larger hole lifters. Clean all the fuel stuff once a year. By the way I use champion 7989 plugs and change every 50k I have over 100k on them with no problems ever. But I'm happy with all the upgrades.279k now and burned .25 at coming up to yakima. 5 30 mobile one high mileage oil I change religiously between 3 and 5 k.

It actually works the other way. Atomization is caused by the fuel pressure pushing the fuel through the orifice. The more orifices = less pressure needed = less atomization. This is why in racing a fuel pressure booster is used. The injector optimum is a single, small orifice with really high fuel pressure. Injectors that can handle the very high fuel pressure without cavitating and deliver the amount of fuel needed within the pulse width are expensive. $400 to $500 each is common. There's plenty about injector orifices and pressure on the web. For the daily driver it's about the balance of costs, performance and efficiencies.

@ceasefire49 I wonder if the west coast has better quality fuel than where I live in, in Texas? My brother, who lives in Fort Worth, gets 3-4mpg better fuel economy from gas there, than here in Wichita Falls, TX.

My fuel economy has gone down about 1-1.5mpg in the last two years after changing the plugs with the "hotter" (hotter because more ceramic is exposed in the cylinder) SP-546 Motorcraft plugs, MSD Ignition Coils, and putting on Cooper Discoverer AT/3 tires (from having Yokohama Geolander). Before 2017, I was getting 16-17mpg @ 75, now it's more like 14.5-15.5 at 75. Highest observed was 21.3 in southwestern Colorado (up the million dollar highway), driving around 40-45mph in 2nd and 3rd. (Aug 2018).

I do have to admit, the truck does feel more powerful (and runs better) with new plugs, MSD Ignition Coils, and changing from cheap Quaker State 5W20 and Fram/Quaker State oil filter (typical Wal-Mart) to Castrol GTX high mileage synthetic blend 5W30 and a Wix 51372XP filter. (Doing it myself)

Tires and use top tier 87 octane fuel mostly bought at Costco and I do put a bottle of Lucas in now and then. Maintain the air in tires. But with ford cops and the champions I am very happy.
