I would really like to get a Cold Air Intake but see there are some "Pro's and Con's". Maybe I'm thinking it out to much. Would I need to get a programer for it to work properly. 2008 4.6 4x4. Looking at this one- http://www.stage3motorsports.com/pro...it---Sale.html

No programer needed. If you get one with an oiled filter element make sure to clean the air mass meter every six months or so.

you should save yourself some money and just buy a k&n drop in air filter for 50 bucks then put the gotts mod on your stock intake its the same as a cold air imtake just lot cheaper.. Search on this web site "gotts mod" read and check out a few pics I did it to my 4.6 also..

No programmer needed with the '08 4.6. No matter what I do, I would use a dry filter, not an oiled one. Over oiling can coat the maf with the extra oil. I did the gotts mod and a paper filter works fine. If you do go cai, get a dry filter!
