Default turning radius

Is there a way to get a lil better turning radius? I've got a 08 supercrew shortbed FX4.. been sorta disapointed by the turning radius...or lack there of... I've got a 99 expedition and my 78 will make turns on the inside of a cherrio and not break it!! Is there anything that can be modded?

How bad is it? Was, thinking of a four door next time around to replace my 02! Thought with the 6 foot bed would be the same as my SC and 7 foot bed.

Default turning

I tried to make a u turn today and was shocked when I made what I thought was a tight turn (to the stop) and I still had to do a three point turn.... my 78 short bed hell I could sit at the light, turn to the left and MAYBE go into the outside lane 2 -3 feet... on a two lane street I could make circles and never cross the solid line!! Seems like they went SAFE when they set the radius, seems like it could be better.... haven't looked to see if there is anything like a stop that can be turned in some, or taken off.... I don't like having to worry if I'm going to hit a curb and mess up one of my new tires and rims (2100 miles on new truck) It does fine in a parking lot ect... but it's having to make a u-turn that it gets me the most.

Ford has the best turn radius of all trucks so there isnt much you can do.Your expedition had the turn radius of a reg cab short box truck big difference. My you should buy a ranger.

Unfortunatly, our new trucks do not have the wheel base of those from yesteryear. I just drive around the block!

If I wanted to make tight u-turns, I would have bought a SMART car

Im guessing that the turning radius is cut down because of the larger 4wd parts.

On a side note, has anyone driven one of the new f250's? They make a smart car's turning radius look silly.

Or, we can "power slide" the back end with the gas pedal!
