I have turn downs on my 05 5.4 v8 and when i get on it, it makes a nasty popping noise. I was told two different things. 1. I need to replace my spark plugs and 2. Almost all turn downs make that popping noise. If 2 is correct, i am going to cut the turn downs off and run it out the back or the passenger side. Pros/cons running out the passenger side before rear tired? thanks!

 

I recently got an 07 and when i straight piped it i could hear the popping noise and almost a sputter and loss of power when i floor it to the ground. Doesn't happen all the time. But Verry Verry noticeable when it does. I hope to find out what solves youre problem
