Default tuner questions

I'm thinking about getting a performance tuner for my '05 5.4 super crew. I'm putting on some bigger tires soon and need it to be able to correct my speedometer. Are all tuners able to correct the speedometer for bigger tires?
Any recommendations?

I have the Superchips Flashpaq on my 05 5.4 and love it as far as canned tunes go. I got it off of a buddy who moved up to an Edge. It corrects you're speedo with large tires and allows you to change anything you want like shift points, pressures, Rev limits, and other such things. It also has quick tunes that set your truck for performacne, best mpg, tow/haul and stock with options. Also let's you monitor most of the sensors real time. Superchips also gives you the option to get a custom tune if you have a cold air intake. For starters it's a great tune but down the road in ina few years I'll probably go to something else. But for now it's an awesome tune for me.

I'm rocking the Diablo trinity and it can correct the problem.

I've read some good things about gryphon tuners. Do they correct the speedometer?

The gryphons are nice. Pretty much any tuner is going to be able to adjust your speedo. It will then come down to personal preference and what features you will want/need

Default Speedo

I downloaded a free app for my iphone that gave me gps speed and compared it to the dash. After putting 35"s on, it actually showed my speedo was slightly slower than actual speed, whereas when I was rolling on stock, the speedo was showing 6-7 miles faster than gps. You might need to spend the money on tuner if you don't need to.

i got an edge and my only real concern was speedo calibration but the canned towing transmission shifting is awesome... if I had it to do over again though, i would have went sct... just so much more you can do if you eventually want to and there are lots of options to buy custom tunes from

I think if you're already planning on spending that kind of money you should get the best for what you can afford. Why spend 300 bucks on something that can adjust the speedo? Get some other features out of it that you will use and go from there!
