That sucks man, hopefully it gets straitened out... On the bright side, at least you probay got new cylinder walls, pistons and rings out of it. So the motor will have a fresh new life.

Sounds like it's time to get it towed to a different shop or to the dealership on their dime!

It sounds like the mechanic doesn't know what the hell hes doing. This looks like a nightmare! Hope this has a good outcome for you bud.

X2, god what a nightmare.

To the OP, if it were me, I wouldn't screw with this guy any longer. Have HIM get the truck to the dealership and have HIM pick up the charges on whatever needs to be done to get you satisfied and back into a dependable truck. Just my opinion is all and I don't know what your relationship is with this "mechanic". That way whatever work the dealership has to do(if it is or isn't a new engine required), it will be covered with a Warranty of some type.

What a f**king joke. I do feel for you brother, but honestly the spark plug issue is overblown. There is an awesome thread on this forum on doing it on your own. I was quoted a base cost of $400 and all the way up to $1,200 if all spark plugs broke. Well, 7 out of 8 broke and the 8th was stripped. I was still able to do it all on my own at a cost of less than $200. But it's already too late for that. I'd say your mechanic owes you since he f**ked it up. Hell I'm not even a mechanic and I was able to get 'em all out. I don't know what your mileage was but my '04 had 148,000km on it with all original plugs.

It's been 3 month and my truck should be ready tomorrow it's on the dealer now but the mechanic won't pay for it this suck I will have to get a lawyer. It going to cost me $ 2900 and I don't know if I'm going to have a reliable Truck again it has 135000 miles and I'm afraid that I will have to sale it

That hurts. I'd take his *** to court, document everything that was done and post it all over your local newspapers, Internet, Craigslist, classified, etc. Burn this punk!
