Default Truck locks itself

My 2006 f150 has recently started locking itself. When I unlock the doors with my remote or the keypad it will re-lock by itself within 1-2 seconds. Also I have a problem (I am assuming these are related) that when I get out of the truck and lock it, it will start locking itself constantly like someone is continuously hitting the lock button. When this happens I unlock the door and try to re-lock it. Sometimes it stops continuously locking itself sometimes it doesn't. This doesn't happen all the time either. I've gone 2-3 days without having this problem, while some weeks I'll have the problem every single day. Any help is appreciated.

Possibly your remote is shorted out some how?

Does it do it when the remote isn't around? If it does, you can rule out the remote. I have a problem with the doors locking themselves when I drive. I know this is what it's supposed to do, but when my wife goes to get our son out of the back seat and the door is locked, she chews me out. I didn't design the crazy system!

My first thought is also the remote. Try going key-only for a few days, and see if it happens?

It does it using the remote, door key pad, and the inside door lock. Any ideas?

In the manual there's info on disabling the auto lock feature...so it won't lock when you start driving.

I'm not talking about while driving, I mean when I lock it because I'm done driving. That's when it goes crazy.

Shorted wire would be my guess.

It doesn't bother me, just my wife. Crazy bitch. Plus, it makes it harder to jack me in rough neighborhoods.
