Default Troyer packages

Good evening all! As you can tell, this is my first post on the forum though I have been browsing for the past 2 weeks. I recently purchased a 2006 Fx-4 with the 5.4 Triton in it. I absolutely love the truck and will be posting some photos. The first upgrade I have done was take out the factory deck and replace it with a pioneer double din. While I was at it I upgraded the speakers.

I am now looking into some performance upgrades. I have spent a number of hours researching this forums as well as some other sites and think I am heading in the right direction. I was hoping for your thoughts on this package from Troyer http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...no=Stage204354. How does the tuner compare with a Griffon tune and getting the stand alone parts (I am leaning towards magna flow exhaust)? I am looking at upgrading the exhaust, intake, chip and adding e-fans. Thought this might be a good way to get it all done at once. Lastly, does anyone know a good shop in the Lynnwood/Seattle area that could help with these installs? I am a novice who works in the financial industry =-). Thank you in advance guys! I am excited to once again be a ford owner (previously mustangs)!

You can get the individual pieces of that package cheaper than buying it as a package. The SCT is a very good programmer. It compares in the fact to the Gryphon that it is custom tuned, but lacks the gauge features. Look at Gotts mod for the intake and 2009+ F150 efans for the fans. Cat back exhausts are overpriced for what they are, see link>

E-fan packages are too expensive. 3.8l Taurus e-fans are on ebay for around $90 new, and check out http://www.dccontrol.com/fancontrol.htm they have several fan controllers to choose from. I have the cheaper one for the 2 speed fans, basically built for the taurus fan.

Cold air intakes are a waste of time. Go with the Gotts mod or Troyer has a neat setup and he will stand behind it with real hp gains. You can usually get a good deal on Magnaflow system on ebay. I got my si/do for around $500. Regardless let Troyer do your tuning. He can get you 265-270rwhp with his Stage 1 setup and tune. I have the Efans from the 2010 F150 and they only run me $160. The controller was another $145. Not a bad deal. Factory parts no junk yard and a factory fit.

Does a "cat-back" system include new cats? If not, how diffcult/worth it is it to replace them?

No it does not. The systems bolt on somewhere after the cats. Not worth the money to replace unless you go with forced induction.
