Default Troyer e fans or php gryphon? Or both?

I am wanting to get better gas mileage out of my truck. I know that it's a truck and they don't get good mpg's, but it don't hurt to try and help it. I am kinda stuck between if I should get the troyer e fans or if I should get the php gryphon with custom tunes for economy. I will have to save up for a Lil while in order to get it but I believe it will be worth it. So which do yal think I should get? If I get both then I believe I will start with the e fans so when I get a custom tune made from php he will know that I have it and I won't have to buy another tune.

Read the last page and my "modding for mileage" section.

That's a really well written write up. I understand all that but I really want better performance and gas mileage. I will also have a performance tune made for when I feel like feelin some extra power! It don't really matter how easy I am on the pedal I'm usually around 11 mpg's. When I first got the truck it already had exhaust and a k and n cai in it with stock everything else and I was still only getting around 12-13 mpg's.

Just making sure we are on the same page to start. Personally I'd go for the Gryphon and a custom performance tune first. The Bill doesn't write eco tunes for the reason below. A new tune isn't needed for efans, so when you're ready the efans can go on whenever after the tune.

For maximum fuel economy, you should choose a performance calibration, and most people will use a performance tune as their daily driver. Our performance tunes provide aggressive fuel curve and timing curve changes to help maximize efficiency and performance -- not just at full-throttle, but throughout the entire throttle and RPM range.
Fuel economy gains rely greatly on driving style.

Yea I found that out from there website. I am basically wanting a good daily driver tune and one for when I wanna feel the power. The only reason I thought about waiting is because of this quote off there website. "We are pleased to offer custom tunes to meet your driving needs. In addition, for those of who like to tweak your vehicles, we are also able to provide custom tuning for modified vehicles, including Cold Air Intake Kits, Exhaust Systems, Electric Fans, Power Pulleys, and others." but do you think that it won't make a difference in the tune if I already had the e fan on? I would just like to make sure that he knows everything I have on my truck so that he will be able to provide a tune that will use every mod I have. I've thought about it and I didn't think that the e fan would be a big deal bc there's not really a lot different that you could do to a tune if I had an e fan already on compared to if I didn't. But I just want to make sure before I spend my money on everything. Btw thanks for your input. It really does help when other people can give me some advice.

Bill puts that on there to cover all his bases. There's no difference in a/f trims and mapping in the tuning for efans. The only part he may tweak in a tune for fans is idle speed, which you can do yourself in the user adjustable options if you need to after your tune is made.

Custom tunes. Search 3 valve and lean issue. To avoid the lean issue custom tunes or removing the CAI should be top of the list.

Don't spend the money on efans to gain any noticable MPG; it won't happen. What you'll get with them is less drag on the water pump, and cooler AC when idling. I have an efan setup on my 2005, and the mileage did not improve.
