trouble with power windows
I've had trouble with my power windows in my 2007 F150 XLT. It takes multiple tries for the windows to roll down and it takes minutes for the windows to roll back up using the main window switches on the driver side. The rear windows and passenger windows can be rolled down using their button but won't go back up with their buttons (only the main switch works rolling them up). What is the problem? Do I need a new window motor?

Try reseating the connections on the rear door buttons. I was having this problem for about 4 years. Recently I replace my stock speakers and while I was in the rear door I plugged up my multimetre to check power connections and reseated the connection on the rear door buttons. That somehow fixed it and now all windows work.

My passenger window takes forever and a day to roll up. If you roll it down in the winter time you better have it jacket on because it may take 5 or 6 tries before it gets all the way up. It's been doing this for 5 or 6 years now.

Are they just slow moving or just don't move at all for a while, then move? My driver side window would take me hitting the button many times to get it to roll back up. I had to replace the switches on my driver door to fix it. They were like $25 off of Amazon. If yours are just slow, I'd check all of your connections before replacing a motor because I don't think you should have more than 1 window motor going at the same time.

The contact points on the switch get pitted. A search on this forum will show this is a common item with slow or inoperative power windows. Either removing and cleaning the switch contacts with fine sandpaper or replacing them can solve that.
Another common problem with these F150 power windows is the track assembly. It's got plastic pieces, and they break over time. That failure causes the windows to drop, and not be able to close.

My windows are slow too. I've tried silicone lube on the rubber window guides to see if that would help and it didn't do much. My switches always seem to work, but I wonder if mine too are dirty and now allowing enough juice to pass through them and that's why they're slow. I'll have to add that to my list of things to do. Gotta love having an older truck.

If the plastic pieces broke would I be able to roll up the window? I can roll them up but it can take a long time (like over 5minutes)

They take a long time to roll up (like over 5minutes) and the back and passenger side can roll down on their own but can't roll back up

Pull the switch boxes out, flip them over, grab each individual wire and shove it firmly into its spot inside the plug. Try the switch again.
Didn't work? Do what Bucko said and clean the switch by taking it apart (search for the thread on here).
