Default Tripometer Resets to Zero

Hi,

I'm new to the site. I have a 2005 F150. The tripometer just started to reset itself to zero each time I start the truck up. There is the letter "T" to the left of the tripometer. I've also noticed the truck has been starting sluggishly recently. I've had the truck since 2010. I was planning on replacing the battery shortly as I believe this may be the original on the truck and figured that is probably the issue. I found another post on this subject (https://www.f150forum.com/f2/odomete...et-zero-68870/), but no responses. Am I on the right track or is there something else I should be looking for? Any help would be appreciated.

Mine was doing that also. I believe it was because my battery sucked. I replaced it with a new one that had way more cranking amps an haven't had a problem since
