Default Transmission problems

Hi guys, i just lost the overdrive in my '04 and the 2nd gear is starting to slip. It has 128.000km on it and there has always been a
I took it to the Icelandic Ford dealership and they want to rebuild it for 4.300 USD minimum ! There is one other place in the country that specializes in american transmissions, but they can't say for sure how much it will be but they estimate around 3.000 usd...

But do you guys know if a tranny from a 5.4l '07 Expedition would fit my '04 ? I heard of one in a scrapyard that caught fire but they say the engine and transmission are in top condition and i can have the tranny for about 1700 usd.

What to do, what to do ?

I don't know if the tranny from the boneyard will fit, but remember you are getting a used tranny.
I would get it rebuilt. Better get more estimates!
