Default Trans temp

What temp does your trans run at???

Mine is at 154 and it's around 55 degrees outside

operating temp is usually 160-180.

Around town it runs around 140....on the interstate it hits 150 or so...towing the boat in the summer, it will get up to 160 -170...running synthetic though and that seemed to drop operating temps a few degrees. If I hammer on the SC quite a bit...well...don't even ask!!!....it does cool down fast though thx to the cooler I guess..

If your truck doesn't already have one, install a transmission cooler. Your transmission temps will drop, and you'll lengthen the life of your transmission as well. High temps are the number one reason for automatic transmission failures.
