So as my screen name states i have an 04 Lariat screw 4x4. I just bought the truck and the previous owner had a reman tranny put in it. It has had a leak somewhere in the bellhousing my mechanic has replaced the front seal twice and even replaced the converter.

I have heard rumors of auto trans building up pressure if u coast the vehicle in neutral causing the trans to overflow or possibly leak?

I drive up a good grade everyday for work and let her coast on the downhill in neutral.(I know its illegal im just tryin to get a few more mpgs)

Am i causing the tranny to leak by letting the truck coast in neutral? If so, what kind of damage am I doing to the trans?
