Talking How to upgrade to keypad/keyless entry?

Hey guys just wondering about the key pad on the door handle. I have an 05 XLT and it didn't come with it. How do I upgrade to that? What do I have to buy? Does my truck have all of the wiring and modules ready to do this?

THANKSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

MAC

my dealer said the same thing, I bought the part, installed it and bet the service writer the cost of discovering the code that it would work. he got the code and tested the handle, No charge.

So everything is wired to the passenger door for this already? Just install it, plug it in, then get the shop to program it?

Look on eBay, I bought a ford wireless keypad for my wives explorer. It sticks to the car with 3m tape, and comes with everything you need.

not sure what you are asking, there is 2 options.
1. stick on that works like a door mounted fob.
2. The one right in the handle. the wires were there and capped inside my door, I really would not take it apart to see if they were there without having the part to just install it. Supposedly if you have factory remote door unlock. the wiring is there. oh the wiring is inside the door frame that terminated near the handle.

Is this true for both the driver and passenger side? I have the keyless entry already on my driver side door but would like to add it to my passenger side. If all I have to do is throw the handle in that would be awesome.

I would bet that is not even an option. I do not think they make right side handle with the kay pad in it. I think at that point you are looking at a stick on pad.
