I thought the same thing. Thought it was the trans slipping. Ended up being a misfire. Did plug change and coil pack replacement. No miss since then. Put it on the computer and I'm sure you'll see what cylinder.

No, I never received a check engine light. I tow a 30' camper so I just knew mine was going to be transmission. Took it to a local shop and had them test drive it, they told me it was a misfire. Felt just like a trans jerk or slip.

I purchased the same coils as dsa. This also solved my 'shifting' misfire.

All you need is plugs and boots. Have the plugs ever been replaced? How many miles are on the plugs? Mine did this and just needed new plugs. Coils are expensive and not necessary to replace unless one of them is out.

If a coil is out it should throw a code anyway....right? Plug not necessarily.

I got them off ebay from a seller called grovedistribution. I paid 76.99 for all 8 but they came with a lifetime warranty. I believe it was their dg511 part number. Had them in service since the beginning of the summer now and no issues. I figure with a lifetime warranty, how can you go wrong ??
