trans cooler?

Default trans cooler?

i have a 05 stx with the t&t package, is the aluminum core in front of the radiator just above the bumper a trans cooler? not 100% sure and i dont feel like tracing the lines

Don't know what else it could be, but trace to be sure. Shouldn't have to go far, most setups I'm aware of still run a flow through the radiator.

if you have the trailer package, you have a trans cooler.

figgured so, because the ac condensor is infront of the ac and i didnt think it would have an oil cooler...espically that big

That would be your tranny cooler and your oil cooler is much smaller and mounted on the frame underneath the front of the engine. The ac condenser is much bigger and is directly in front of the radiator.

you would be surprised as to how big the cooler is on the SuperDuty trucks....anywho, Bulkpart.com has a great selection of OEM coolers.

its just an stx not a superduty...im glad it isnt...i couldnt afford almost 4/gal for deisel

anyways thanks guys....i figured as much just wanted to make sure...also i figure if i put in a temp gauge id be smart to tap it in on the feed side of the cooler to get temps before they return back...

Get a Dashhawk to monitor engine/tranny temps,OR,a Edge to run a canned tune and monitor performance.
